About

Welcome to The Group Travel Guide – your trusted resource for planning stress‑free, memorable group adventures.

Whether you’re organising a milestone getaway with friends, a multigenerational family holiday, or a trip built around a shared passion, you’re in the right place. My goal is simple: to take the stress out of group travel and put the joy back into the planning process.

Over the years, I’ve worked in the travel industry, explored the world in all kinds of ways, and – most importantly – planned countless trips with some of my favourite people. Before launching The Group Travel Guide, I spent more than 15 years in sales, marketing, and senior leadership roles with group tour and river cruise companies. Part of that work involved coordinating large international trips for more than 30 travel and media partners – an experience that gave me a front‑row seat to what makes group travel run smoothly behind the scenes.

But the heart of what I share here comes from real life. From solo adventures and couples’ escapes to girls’ weekends, family holidays, and multigenerational trips with 8–15 people in tow, I’ve been there, organised that, and learned what truly makes a group trip work.

I’m often the one behind the scenes, pulling everything together (usually with the help of a great Travel Agent). And here’s what experience has taught me: with the right preparation, clear communication, and a few simple systems, group travel doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. In fact, it can be one of the most rewarding and joy‑filled ways to explore the world.

Along the way, I’ve developed tried‑and‑tested tricks that keep group travel running smoothly – like the Grumpy Day Rule, the Hangry Avoidance Method, and my Daily Pacing Approach (perfect for mixed‑age groups). These small but mighty tips help make a big difference, especially on multigenerational trips where energy levels, routines, and expectations can vary wildly.

The Group Travel Guide brings all of this together: practical tips, tested advice, real‑life tools, and step‑by‑step planning guides designed to help you create smoother, happier group trips with your favourite people – whether it’s a quick weekend away or a once‑in‑a‑lifetime adventure.

Because the best memories don’t just happen when you arrive. They start in the planning.
